অনেক দম্পতির মনেই থাকে একটি বিশেষ ইচ্ছে—যদি আল্লাহ চাইতেন, তাহলে তারা যমজ সন্তান পেতেন। এই ইচ্ছা থেকে অনেকেই ইসলামে যেসব দোয়া এবং আমল উল্লেখ আছে, সেগুলো জানতে চান, অনুসরণ করেন এবং বিশ্বাসের সাথে আল্লাহর কাছে প্রার্থনা করেন। ফোরামে এই বিষয়ে আলোচনা করতে গেলে প্রথমেই যে বিষয়টি মাথায় আসে, তা হলো যমজ সন্তানের বিষয়টি পুরোপুরি আল্লাহর পক্ষ থেকে নির্ধারিত একটি নিয়ামত। দোয়া অবশ্যই করা যায়, আমলও করা যায়, কিন্তু ফলাফল একমাত্র আল্লাহই নির্ধারণ করেন। এই কারণে যমজ সন্তান লাভের দোয়া বিষয়টি অনেকের কাছেই বিশেষ আগ্রহের জায়গা তৈরি করেছে।
ফোরামের বিভিন্ন সদস্যের অভিজ্ঞতা থেকে দেখা যায়, কেউ কেউ নিয়মিতভাবে দোয়া করেন—বিশেষ করে "রব্বি হাবলি মিন লাদুঙ্কা জরিয়্যতান তয়্যিবাহ" দোয়াটি খুব বেশি পড়া হয়। আবার অন্যরা সূরা ফাতিহা, সূরা ইখলাস বা দুরুদ শরিফ বেশি পাঠ করেন। অনেকেই বিশ্বাস করেন, নিয়ত পরিষ্কার রেখে নিয়মিত ইবাদত করলে আল্লাহ নিশ্চয়ই কল্যাণের দরজা খুলে দেন। তবে ফোরামে সবাইই একমত—অনেক সময় মানুষ যমজ সন্তানের ইচ্ছা করলেও আল্লাহ যা উত্তম মনে করেন, তাই তাঁর বান্দাকে দান করেন। তাই ধৈর্য, শুকর এবং তাওয়াক্কুল থাকা খুবই জরুরি।
চিকিৎসাজনিত দিক থেকেও ফোরামে আলোচনা উঠে এসেছে। যেমন, কারও পরিবারে যমজ হওয়ার প্রবণতা থাকলে বা বয়স বাড়ার পর সন্তান নিতে গেলে যমজ সন্তানের সম্ভাবনা বাড়ে। তবে এসবই বৈজ্ঞানিক সম্ভাবনা; নিশ্চিত নয়। তাই দোয়ার সাথে চিকিৎসাগত পরামর্শ ও শারীরিক সুস্থতাও সমান গুরুত্বপূর্ণ।
